Description

Premium quality Armature Banding Machine model BM-500 can accommodate a variety of small, medium and large armatures for the starter motor manufacturing industry. The BM-500 applies fiberglass tape under high tension, up to 220 lbs. (100 kg), to the wire winding turns outside of the lamination stack so to prevent "flare out" of the end turns, due to centrifugal forces at high rotational speed. Then the armature is heat-baked and the tape becomes a solid shield over the wire. A traversing carriage on the bed of the Banding Machine allows for a complete placement control and layering of the tape onto the windings.
